About Lip Fillers
Hyaluronic acid (HA) lip fillers refresh and plump you skin by creating new volume that corrects wrinkles, cutaneous depressions and restores volume loss
During the procedure
Area cleansing and topical anaesthetic application
Fine needle injections with mild, brief discomfort
Before your appointment
Avoid alcohol 24 hours before
Consider avoiding blood thinners such as Ibrupfen and Aspirin but take advice from your medical practioner if these are prescribed
Refrain from taking high doses of Vitamin E, aspirin, anti-inflammatories or anti coagulants during the week prior to treatment
Inform of any changes in medications or conditions

Duration of effect
Typically, the effects of lip filler treatments last up to 12 months
Aftercare
Refrain from washing treated area for a minimum of 2-3 hours
Avoid exposure to the sun, UV rays and extreme temperatures (saunas etc) for 2 weeks following the treatment
Avoid touching or applying pressure
No strenuous exercise or alcohol for 24 hours
Avoid extreme heat (saunas, steam rooms) for 24 hours
No makeup for 24 hours
Report any unexpected side effects immediately

When administered by an experienced and medically trained practitioner the procedure is very safe with complications being extremely rare. All our practitioners are medically trained and have undergone accredited training offering you complete peace of mind. Known side effects include asymmetry, swelling, bruising and infection.
You may get a temporary stinging sensation however the fillers we use contain lidocaine which numbs the lips as the product is injected, making it a more comfortable experience for you, we can also apply topical aesthetic if needed.
This varies from patient to patient and the mouth is an area where the muscle is so active but typically the results last up to 12 months.
In the first 24 to 48 hours following your treatment, it’s advisable to avoid strenuous exercise and exposure to high temperatures, like saunas or hot baths.
This treatment is charged per volume of syringe for instance 0.7 mls as opposed to 1 ml – this would be discussed during your consultation and based on what you would like to achieve as an outcome for your lips
